Minibus driver Paul Watson, a 47-year-old resident of Zeelugt Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo, was on Monday remanded to prison on a charge of ‘obtaining money by false pretence’ after appearing before Vreed-en-Hoop Magistrate Faith McGusty.

He pleaded not guilty as charged, but was remanded to prison until February 12, 2024.
He reportedly was arrested on August 11, 2023, but charges were instituted on January 22, 2024 after investigations were completed.
