The two-week badminton camp sponsored by the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) and the Ministry of Education’s Unit of Allied Arts, which was run from July 10th to 21st, concluded on Friday.
Conducted by certified tutor/coach and national senior player Narayan Ramdhani, the camp was intended to expose and develop the skills of players. Players were exposed to learning basic badminton skills; and to end off in a very competitive way, the camp concluded with a mini tournament which saw Domitre Rankin defeating Shamar Bruce 21-19 to win the final, while third place went to Angelie Balram and fourth place went to Amelia Balram. Narayan awarded a racquet to each winner and runner-up.
