— Kaysan Ninvalle gets lifetime membership with Fitness 53
Young Kaysan Ninvalle seems to be winning gold on all fronts, as on Saturday, the table tennis player was gifted lifetime membership to Fitness 53 at the Gym’s Providence, East Bank Demerara location.
Ninvalle secured Guyana’s only gold medal at the Caribbean Pre-Cadet Table Tennis Championships last month in Jamaica when he defeated Trinidad and Tobago’s Jalen Kerr in the final of the boy’s Under-11 singles category.
Former West Indies captain Ramnaresh Sarwan who is the proprietor of the gym revealed that he heard great things of the young and
talented player and was extremely pleased of his performance at the championships.
Sarwan went on to say that “this is probably one of the best fitness facilities in the country and we would like Kaysan to utilise the facility and work hard since it is important to be fully fit for any sport that one plays”.
Similarly, Godfrey Munroe, President of the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) thanked Sarwan for making the gesture and stated that he is looking forward for more corporate entities giving their support to the Association’s athletes.
Munroe disclosed that “We have recently got good news from the ITTF [International Table Tennis Federation] that he has been selected to participate in a World Hopes training camp in October from the 18-25 in Lima, Peru, and he is one those prospects that could represent us in future at the Olympics”.
The 10-year-old who has already attracted support from other corporate entities such as Gizmos and Gadgets and Colours Boutique, plans on making good use of his support as he seeks continued success when representing his country.
