With Mother’s Day just one week away, the Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts collaborated with the New Thriving Restaurant to host a Tea Party and Fashion Show as a tribute to mothers.

The result has been last Saturday’s unforgettable evening of elegance experienced by the scores of mothers in attendance and participating at the event, held at the Restaurant’s new location on the East Bank of Demerara.
The more than 200 persons present at the gala were duly entertained with an array of eye catching designs produced by Guyana’s fashion doyen and placed on display during the showcase.
A lineup of mothers accompanied by their children took to the catwalk to model designs which reflected their unique styles as they simultaneously relished the experience of being a mother in the spotlight.
This Saturday fashion show and tea party is one in a line of monthly events that will be organised and hosted by the New Thriving Restaurant and the Sonia Noel Foundation as they embark on a partnership to merge food and fashion to produce a unique brand of entertainment. Similar events are accordingly expected to be staged at the New Thriving Restaurant at Providence.
