Roy’s Pharmacy, Hope Coconut Industries to host golf tournament

– action tees off tomorrow at Lusignan Golf Club

Roy’s Pharmacy, in collaboration with Hope Coconut Industries, will be hosting an action-packed golf tournament tomorrow, commencing at 12:00 hrs.
The format of the game would be 18-hole medal play tourney, which will see some of Guyana’s top golfers coming out as they battle for glory.
In a medal play round each golfer records every one of his strokes (and penalty strokes if any) on every hole. In terms of gross, the golfer who has posted the lowest round wins, or the lowest total for multi-day tournaments.

When dealing with Net, the golfer who has posted the lowest round net of his handicap wins.
It will be a shotgun start. (All participants start at the same time at various tee boxes), to avoid congregating (observing COVID protocols). Players must give themselves adequate time to visit the club house to pay the tournament fees and do what in necessary observing at covid protocol at all times then proceed to their allocated tee box for 12 noon start.
At the launching of a simple ceremony at Roy’s Pharmacy Bourda Market location speaking on behalf of the pharmacy was supervisor Anjalie Persaud who noted that she is extremely glad that the company has decided to partner with LGC to host a tournament of this kind. She further encouraged everyone to come out and play and try their hand at the game of golf.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of Lusignan Golf Club was Vice President Peyton George, who said, “On behalf of the Lusignan Golf Club and Management Committee and all members, we would like to thank Roy’s Pharmacy and Hope Coconut Industries for sponsoring this weekend’s tournament. We are privileged to be hosting our fourth consecutive week of golf at Lusignan Golf Club, and we hope everyone comes out to have a grand time.”
Lots of lucrative prizes will be up for grabs ranging from first to fourth and the golfer with the best overall net.
