Ali-Mohammed stars for Guyana on day 2

All-rounder Renaldo Ali-Mohammed was the star of day two as Guyana closed with a lead of 221 runs against Leeward Islands at Verchilds Cricket Ground in St Kitts.
Bowling his medium pace, Ali-Mohamed collected 5-11 from 13 overs to spearhead Guyana’s attack as Leewards Islands folded for a paltry 100 all-out off 48.2 overs in their first innings. Kevin Sinclair with 3-33 supported Ali-Mohammed with his part-time offspin.
With a lead of 120, Guyana added 101 for the loss of five wickets in their second innings to extend their advantage to 221 by the close. Alex Algoo has so far been the principal scorer with 36, while Sinclair wasted another good start as he contributed 27.
Ali-Mohammed and Richie Looknauth will resume batting on eight and four respectively when play resumes on the final day today.
First innings wrecker K Pemberton has grabbed four wickets in the second innings so far to take his match tally to seven scalps.
In the other matches, reigning champions Trinidad and Tobago are well placed at 117-2 with a lead of 197 over Windward Islands while the battle between Barbados and Jamaica ended prematurely due to rain, with the former in a spot of bother at 32-3 and a lead of 45.
