All set for Lake Mainstay 19th annual regatta this Sunday

All plans are in place for the 19th Annual Lake Mainstay Regatta billed for Sunday. The event is being hosted by Lake Mainstay in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Department of Tourism.
This year, more action has been added to the day’s activities to cater for the motor-racing lovers. Over $3 million are up for grabs in several categories. These include the 15-, 40-, 90-, and 200-horsepower (HP) races and the Open race.
All the categories will be opened to both males and females.
In addition, there will be the 200-metre male and female canoe races, but be sure to walk with that hot swimwear if you want to participate in the 200m Open swimming race. There will also be a fun park for the children comprising merry-go-around, bouncy castle and others.
There will also be food and drink bars.
However, As the sun sets, the entertainment will kick start. This year, the local artistes will take centre stage.
Performing live will be reigning Carib Soca Monarch, Brandon Harding, Chutney Monarch finalist, Vicadi Singh, A.W. Lyrical and singing sensation Josie. In addition, Deejay Avalanche and Deejay Andrew Yee will be in the house to set the tone for a fantastic event. As usual, emcee for the event will be Lyndon “Jumbie” Jones.
Admission $1000 in advance for adults and $1,200 at the gates while advance admission for children cost $500 and $700 at the gate.
