Alleged alcoholic found floating in trench

The lifeless body of 51-year-old Seeree Tarawattie of Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, was discovered floating in a trench in the area on Monday. At the time of the discovery, he was clad in his underpants.
However, Guyana Times understands that Tarawattie was an alcoholic and might have been drunk when he fell overboard. He reportedly lived alone.
According to residents, the man was last seen alive at about 19:00h on Sunday evening. They said that the man was intoxicated and heading home.
Following the discovery, the Police did not find any mark of violence about his body. The body was taken to the Suddie Public Hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
