Home News Alleged robbery spree lands man in jail
Following a robbery spree carried out in South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, an Albouystown man was slapped with multiple charges as he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Tuesday.
Adrian Daily, 37, of Lot 30 King Edward Street, Albouystown, Georgetown, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
It is alleged that on June 24, at Aubrey Barker Road, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, while being armed with a gun, he robbed Elizabeth Barclay of 0,000; Tiffany Blanhum of one cellphone valued ,000; Temika Wells of one Samsung Galaxy cellphone valued ,000 and one gold chain valued ,000; and Shem Kai Rum of 30 GTT and 30 Digicel phone cards. On the same day, he is accused of robbing Lui Hui Jum and Iana Daniels; however, what was taken from them was not stated in court.
The Prosecutor objected to bail due to the gravity of the offence and the penalty attached. The Prosecutor also informed the court that additional charges are to be laid against the defendant. He was remanded to prison and will return to court on July 18.
