Amelia’s Ward man slapped with B&E charge

An Amelia’s Ward man was on Wednesday charged in connection with the offence of breaking and entering a dwelling place with intent to commit a felony after he made his appearance before Magistrate Clive Nurse. Jermaine Roland is accused of breaking into the home of Shonette Parker on September 5, 2016 with the intention of committing a felony. The court heard that on the said day, the virtual complainant had awakened to discover that her lights were off. It was while sitting upon her bed, she noticed flashing lights in her living room and upon checking it is alleged that she encountered the defendant inside her home. He was later identified during an identification (ID) parade at the Wismar Police Station. The defendant is scheduled to return to court on December 21.
