Colourful and creative are some of the words that can be used to described the costumes that were designed by various schools along the Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), as they set the stage for Mashramani celebrations on February 23.
Hundreds of students from primary and secondary schools across the Region dressed in dazzling and colourful costumes that lit up the commercial centre

during the annual Mash Road Show on Friday.
Accompanied by teachers and officers from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the students gyrated to tantalising music, doing their own Mash jump up in an atmosphere filled with celebration.
The road show was organised by the Education Ministry in collaboration with the Region Two Administration.
The Region Two Department of Education led the parade with scores of nursery, primary and secondary children.
The road show started off from Coffee Grove and moved along the public road to the commercial centre of Anna Regina, and then to the community centre ground.
