ANSA McAL has launched its “Ariel & Downy Bring the Freshness Home” promotion, a nationwide campaign aimed at rewarding shoppers while promoting the combined use of the two household brands.
The promotion, which runs from April 17 to June 5, 2026, is being rolled out across Guyana and targets consumers purchasing Ariel powdered detergent and Downy fabric enhancer products.
According to Divisional Head for the Procter & Gamble business at ANSA McAL, Shawna Kidd the initiative is intended to improve the household laundry experience by combining the cleaning power of Ariel with the freshness and fabric care offered by Downy.
Kidd said the promotion is part of the company’s ongoing effort to provide value to consumers while strengthening customer engagement.
“For 33 years, ANSA McAL has been invited into the homes of Guyanese families, and we take that responsibility seriously. This promotion is our way of ensuring that our customers receive the best performance and the best value through the combined power of Ariel and Downy,” Kidd stated.
She explained that the campaign focuses on the “Perfect Duo” concept because both products complement each other during the laundry process.
“One provides the deep clean, while the other preserves the fabric and locks in the fresh scent. By driving this synergy, we aren’t just selling products, we are providing a superior solution for our shoppers,” Kidd added.
The company also highlighted the regional reach of the promotion, noting that draws will be held in Berbice, Bartica, Essequibo and Linden to encourage participation across the country.
Kidd said the regional approach was designed to maximize the promotion’s impact and ensure consumers nationwide have an opportunity to participate.
As part of the promotion, entry boxes have been placed in more than 70 supermarkets and retail outlets across Guyana.
To qualify, shoppers must purchase any two packs of Ariel powdered detergent along with one bottle of Downy in the 700mL, 1400mL or 2800mL sizes.
Eligible participants will then be entered into regional prize draws.
