Archery Guyana backs athletes ahead of CAC Games campaign

Archery Guyana’s athletes Devin Permaul and Roshini Boodhoo will represent Guyana in archery at the XXV Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games as part of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA)’s national delegation. The duo has been accompanied by National Head Coach Ryan McKinnon.
The CAC Games remain one of the oldest and most prestigious regional multi-sport events in the world, bringing together the regions’ finest athletes in a celebration of sporting excellence, unity and friendship. For Guyana’s archers, qualification to compete at this level reflects dedication, disciplined training and unwavering commitment to representing the Golden Arrowhead with pride.
As such, Archery Guyana extended its sincere appreciation to President Godfrey Munroe and the Executive Committee of the GOA for its continued leadership and support in facilitating the participation of Team Guyana at these Games. The Federation also acknowledged the guidance of Chef-de-Mission Kenisha Headley and Deputy Chef Roger Callender for their commitment to ensuring that Guyana’s athletes are afforded the opportunity to compete on the regional stage.

President Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon, on behalf of Archery Guyana, stated, “Representing Guyana at the Central American and Caribbean Games is a tremendous achievement and an honour earned through commitment, perseverance and hard work. Devin and Roshini have demonstrated exceptional dedication throughout their preparation, and we are immensely proud of them. We also commend Coach Ryan McKinnon for his tireless efforts in developing our athletes. We know Team Guyana will wear the Golden Arrowhead with pride and exemplify the values of excellence, respect and sportsmanship.”
Further, the Association encouraged all Guyanese to rally behind Devin Permaul and Roshini Boodhoo as they take to the competition field and proudly represent Guyana at the CAC Games.
“Archery Guyana wishes Team Guyana every success and looks forward to celebrating their performances throughout the Games,” the body noted in a missive.
