Banks DIH hosts medical outreach

Banks DIH Limited, in collaboration with the Public Health Ministry, held a medical outreach at the Demerara Park, popularly known as Thirst Park, on Friday, in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Speaking with the media, Banks DIH Communications Manager Troy Peters said the initiative behind the exercise was to bring awareness to Guyanese about various illnesses and diseases.

Peters noted that response to the medical outreach has been overwhelming.
Some of the services that were offered were oral health care; breast and cervical screening; pap smear; HPV testing; VIA (visual inspection using acetic acid), vaccinations against HPV, and blood pressure testing.
The Banks family is planning to move this exercise across the country, so that more citizens can benefit from this initiative.
