The twin earthquakes, with a magnitude 7.2 foreshock followed seconds later by a magnitude 7.5 mainshock, both centred in the Veroes municipality of Yaracuy, have caused widespread destruction across Venezuela, with the heaviest damage recorded in La Guaira and Caracas.
The death toll has surpassed 2200, with thousands more injured and tens of thousands displaced from their homes. The scale of this tragedy is immense.
Thousands of families have lost homes, loved ones, and livelihoods virtually overnight. The company, in a missive, stated that it is their hope that this contribution brings some measure of comfort to those working through unimaginable circumstances.

We hope this donation provides some comfort to families who have lost so much.”
