Bartica Easter Regatta receives support from EKAA HRIM
With the ExxonMobil Football Cup up and running and the historic Dominoes competition with a top prize of a million dollars done and dusted, the Bartica Easter Regatta has been further boosted with a timely financial donation made to the BERC by the EKAA HRIM Earth Resource Management Inc.
This company has a gold mining operation in the village of Batavia, where it has leased over 1000 acres of land and has provided hundreds of jobs. It has now stepped up to lend tangible support to the successful hosting of the 2024 edition of the Bartica Easter Regatta, which has already commenced with several activities.
Presentation of this company’s financial support was made to the BERC Treasurer Ms. Natalie Tilbury Bobb in the presence of Mr. Jesvin Pradeep Kumar, Director of EKAA HRIM Earth Resource Management Inc., and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer of the BERC, Ms. Shondel Gilkes.
Mr. Sajubhaskar, Chairman and Founder of EKAA HRIM Earth Resource Management Inc, who made the presentation, shared the delight of his company to be of support to the organisers of the annual Easter Regatta.
“As a company operating in Region 7, we feel obligated to support this event that has become a main staple in the sports calendar of the Region 7 community over many decades. We applaud Chairman Williams and his team for keeping this tradition going, which serves as a platform to showcase the talent of the youths in many areas. This is very commendable, and as a company, we would like to be associated with such activities that empower people and build positive self-esteem among our youths, which is vital to their holistic development,” he declared.
Ms. Natalie Tilbury Bobb extended gratitude to Mr. Sajubhaskar, Mr. Kumar, and EKAA HRIM Earth Resource Management Inc. for partnering with the BERC for the first time, and has assuring that this partnership has strengthened the Committee’s ability to pull off another successful Regatta.

The powerboat racers are preparing for Easter Sunday’s big powerboat racing competition at Golden Beach, where thousands of persons are expected to be present to absorb the day’s action, which will also see, for the first-time, remote-controlled boat racing.
The annual river swim and athletics road race would also be held on Sunday morning, while Mongrippa Hill will host the annual Grass Track competition on Easter Monday. This activity will bring the curtains down on this year’s Easter Regatta activities.
