Mangra, Harry take top honours in GYSBI & Robert Hanoman tournament

The Lusignan Golf Club welcomed golf enthusiasts and competitors from near and far for an exciting weekend of golf at the GYSBI and Robert Hanoman Golf Tournament.

Held over the weekend, the tournament showcased the exceptional talent and sportsmanship of its participants, providing a thrilling experience for all involved.
In a display of skill and precision on the greens, Maxim Mangra and Bridgelall Harry emerged victorious, securing the first-place position with their outstanding performance. Mangra and Harry’s remarkable teamwork and strategic play propelled them to the top of the leaderboard, earning them well-deserved recognition for their achievement.

Following closely behind, Jaipaul Sukhnanan and Feroze Barkat demonstrated their talent and determination in clinching the second-place spot with a stellar performance throughout the tournament. Sukhnanan and Barkat’s impressive display of skill showcased their ability to compete at a high level, and added to the excitement of the event.
Rounding out the top three positions were Paton George and Chet Bowling, who showcased their golfing prowess by securing the third-place spot with a commendable performance on the course. George and Bowling’s consistent play and dedication to the game earned them a well-deserved spot on the podium.

Speaking at the end of the tournament, Robin Muneshwer, Executive Director of GYSBI, shared, “I want to commend the LGC for such a wonderful tournament. We are optimistic that this will be an annual tournament. Golf is a sport that should be promoted in Guyana, especially with the influx of foreigners. During the tournament, the course looked impressive and the players enjoyed themselves.”
Success of the GYSBI and Robert Hanoman Golf Tournament would not have been possible without the support and participation of the golfing community, organizers and sponsors.
