The Demerara Cricket Board (DCB), has announced its Under-13 squad for the upcoming season, with 15 players selected to represent the Demerara county in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Under-13 Inter-County Tournament.
The squad will be coached by experienced youth cricket coach Latchman Yadram, with Kevin Ross appointed as team manager.
The selected squad will be led by captain Caleb Bastian with Xavier Dodson serving as vice-captain.
The team also includes Aiyan Persaud, Anthony Bacchus, Rakeeb Latif, Aiden Sooklall, Huzaifah Shadir, Amar Romasindo, Hemesh Latif, Aaron Perkins, Ayden Ori, Delon Perriera, Aryan Atkinson, Seren Wills and wicketkeeper Rajeev Kishun.
The DCB has also named a standby group comprising Neymar Kissoon, Paul Wintz, Jared Kadir, Ritesh Deonarine, Sanjay Suman and Karan Khemraj, who will remain available should replacements be required.
The squad will commence preparations ahead of the upcoming competition under the guidance of the coaching and management staff.
The Guyana Cricket Board has extended congratulations to the selected players, coaching staff and team management and wishes the squad every success in the upcoming competition.
The GCB U13 Inter- county tournament is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, August 22 at two venues. At LBI on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD), Demerara will battle Essequibo from 10:00hrs while at Albion in Berbice, the hosts will take on the GCB Select XI, also from 10:00hrs.
