Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh has announced that the “Because We Care” cash grants, from $35,000 to$40,000 per child.
The 2024 budget is themed “Staying the course, building prosperity for all” and amounts to $1.146 trillion. It was presented in the National Assembly by Dr Singh on Monday.
This increase This will place an additional amount of $1 billion in the homes of children attending both public and private school.
Some 205,000 students will benefit.
