Berbice construction worker nabbed with ganja

A 25-year-old construction worker has landed himself in hot water after he was nabbed with a quantity of ganja.
Reports are at about 22:45h on Saturday, a party of Police was patrolling in the vicinity of Besty Ground, East Canje, Berbice, when they observed a man walking along the road acting in a suspicious manner.

As a result, the lawmen stopped the man and conducted a search on him and his belongings and discovered a small black bag containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis. Police on Saturday said that the man was arrested and identified himself as a construction worker of Besty Ground, East Canje, Berbice. The suspected cannabis weighed 32 grams.
The suspect is presently in Police custody and is being processed for court. (G1)
