Berbice Cricket Board says congratulations and good luck to Gudakesh Motie

Another cricketer from Berbice is in line for West Indies Cricket team senior selection. Former West Indies Under-19 left arm spinner Gudakesh Motie was included in the West Indies senior team training squad with the possibility of selection for the upcoming test series, West Indies versus India in the Caribbean.
A statement from the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) said that from a very tender age Motie, another player coming out of the mighty Albion Cricket Club, was Identified as a future West Indies product. Today he is not far from that and that is after only his first season at the senior level, the release continued.

Gudakesh Motie, took 40 wickets in his debut First Class season from 7 matches in the West Indies Cricket Board Professional Cricket League Regional Four Day Tournament 2015/16. His bowling returns included one 10-wicket match haul and took 5 wickets or more per innings four times. His best bowling was 6 for 20 against Jamaica at Sabina Park in December 2015.
The BCB takes this opportunity to congratulate Motie on his call up and wish him well.  He is advised to keep his feet grounded. Best wishes also to the entire team.
