Senwasane’s 82, Latiff’s 9 for 12 help Port Mourant beat Albion by innings and 88 runs

New York Business Group/BCB U-19-1-day 2 innings competition

The Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC) continued its winning streak in the New York Business Group sponsored Under 19 one day-2 innings competition when they defeated the Albion Cricket Club by 88 runs and an innings in their match played at the Port Mourant Community Center, Berbice.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Albion Cricket Club were all out for 102 in 34 overs. R. Kasinauth led the way with 29, while G. Outar made 25 and A. Ault chipped in with 20. All the other batsmen failed to reach double figures as the Port Mourant bowlers proved detrimental to the Albion batting order.
Bowling for Port Mourant Cricket Club, Kevin Latif took 4 wickets for 4 off 8 overs, Totaram Rajaram took 2 for 14 off 4.
Port Mourant replied with 212 in 48 overs. Batting for Port Mourant, the aggressive Opener Veramootoo Senwasane made a smashing 82 while Imran Khan crafted 41, Emmanuel Seecharran made 25 while Totaram Rajaram and Ezekiel Kempadoo ended on 13 each.
The Albion Batsmen failed to recover from the first innings deficit crumbled to be 22 all out to give Port Mourant Cricket Club victory by an innings and 88 runs.
Port Mourant’s left arm spinner Kevin Latiff again proved dangerous and bagged 5 wickets for 8 runs while Sudesh Ghamandi took 5 for 7 runs.
