GCB Inter-County Under-15 Championships
Four players with inter-county experience are among a group of 20 in a Berbice training squad preparing for the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter-County Under-15 Tournament scheduled to start next Tuesday March 14.
These players are Marvan Prashad, who played two years (2015 and 2016) for Berbice and is the most experienced player in the training squad and Daniel Dharandat, Romel Retimyah and Abdul Ramsammy, all of whom represented the GCB President’s XI in last year’s tournament.
The players practiced two afternoons last week at the Albion Community Development Center Ground and will be engaged every afternoon for this week in similar exercises to give the coaches enough assessment time.
The final 14 is expected to be released soon as they prepare to open their campaign against the President’s XI on March 14.
The 20 players involved in the training sessions are: Sarwan Chaitnarine, Romel Retimyah, Daniel Dharandat, Marvan Prashad, Zainul Ramsammy, Insam Shazam, Gourav Ramesh, Moraldo Durant, Saif Amoi, Reyad Karim, Mahendra Gopilall, Abdool Ramsammy, Vikash Subramani, Farouk Subhan, Parvenand Ganesh, Yadesh Persaud, Anthony Williams, Andel Milne, Ricardo Ramdial and Akash Heralaal.
