Berbice, Georgetown-Mahaicony collide at Bourda

The Georgetown Cricket Club ground, will host a high profile semi-finals, when some of the best players from the Georgetown-Mahaicony District, clash with this years’ top performers from Berbice in the Guyana Cricket Board/Demerara Mutual Life Assurance Society/ Ministry Of Education/National Secondary Cricket School League combined Phase match, today.
The Berbice side includes nine players with national youth experience, these includes middle order batsmen Kevlon Anderson and Garfield Benjamin, wicket keeper Junior Sinclair, All-rounders Seon Glasgow (off spin) Leon Swammy and Geevon Shultz (Right arm fast bowlers) and left arm orthodox spinners, Kelvin Umroa, Nikeen Noble and Nigel Deodat.

The squad also includes off spinner Melvin Singh, this year’s Berbice Under-15 Inter County captain Marvan Prashad, sensational opening batsman Alex Algu, Antonio February, Dinanauth Persaud, Christopher Harry and Nicholas Heywood.
The Georgetown-Mahaicony Combined team will come from the likes of West Indies Under-15 players Ashmead Nedd, Sachin Singh, and Qumar Torrington, national youth players Alphius Bookie, wicket Keeper/batsman Yudister Persaud, and All Rounder Dwayne Dick (off spinner), also making up the squad are Adrian Hinds, fast bowler Dequan Bamfield, Juspice Jones (right arm leg spinners), Joel Spooner, Osapho Greene, Nkosi Beaton, Devon Allen and Ghamshan Premsham.
Today’s winners will take on Essequibo Combined at the GCC ground on Friday March 31, from 09:30h.
