The Guyana Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GBBFF) will be hosting the 2021 Novices Bodybuilding and Fitness Competition and Mr Linden Classic on May 29, 2021 at the Lichas Hall, Linden. The virtual event will be live-streamed on all popular social media networks.
GBBFF President Keavon Bess said he was grateful that Fitness Express has now come on board as a major sponsor.
In an exclusive interview with Guyana Times Sport, Bess noted that the Federation was always happy to have Fitness Express on board as it has been with the sport for quite a number of years.
“They have been with us since I became President in 2012. Even prior to that, they have been supporting body building and strength sports in Guyana, so we are happy to have a continuous relationship with them. We are also happy that they have come on board to be our main sponsor for Novice 2021, especially in light of the pandemic we are having. A lot of sponsors are not to mind full of sponsoring sport activities, but Mr Jamie McDonald, they would have continued to throw their support behind us and we are very grateful for that.”

Athletes will be itching for action

Bess went on to add that he expected a competitive contest. He related that the GBBFF has seen quite a number of athletes and their bodies and has an idea of what is to be expected on stage. Hence, the Federation is putting the final touches on the competition as it gears up to host a grand event with all COVID-19 measures in place.
On the night of the competition, there will be about 25 athletes competing in the three different segments of the first competition – Bodybuilding, Bikini and Men’s Physique.
