Police in Georgetown are on the hunt for John Kennedy, called “Big John”, who is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of 21-year-old Jaleel Leow, who was gunned down in Sophia last week.
A wanted bulletin has been issued for 38-year-old Kennedy, whose last known address is Lot 751 Field 8, Section ‘B’, Sophia, Greater Georgetown.

Leow, a mechanic of Dennis Street, Campbellville, Georgetown, was shot four times on August 2.

The incident occurred at around 17:50h while the young man was hanging out with a group of people at ‘B’ Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
At the time, the suspects were identified as “Double Clip” and “Brainer”.
The Police have said that Leow was liming with a female shopkeeper and several other mechanics by her house when the group was approached by the two suspects, who arrived on bicycles.
Armed with two cutlasses, one of the suspects went up to the shopkeeper and asked, “Problem you want?”
The woman responded in the negative, and she and her party began to retreat into her yard.

The other suspect then pulled out a handgun from his pants waist and walked up to the Leow, who was walking into the yard at the time. He discharged two rounds, which struck Leow to his upper back.
Leow fell to the ground, and the gunman discharged two more rounds, which hit him to his upper chest.
The injured man managed to get up and run to the back of the yard, where he collapsed.
The shooter had also fired another shot at another man from the group, who was standing by the roadside. However, the bullet just grazed the man to his right upper hand.
The shooter and his accomplice then mounted their bicycles and made good their escape. (G8)
