The competition will feature 72 matches, with the West Indies competing on home soil and the Cup Final set for the Guyana National Stadium at Providence.
The Cricket West Indies Masters Association (CWIMA) announced the partnership in a September 19 release, saying the company’s contribution will assist with staging the tournament and welcoming visiting teams.
CWIMA welcomed the support and acknowledged the collective effort needed to deliver the competition. Organisers, clubs, volunteers and sponsors will all play a role in preparing for the international event.
The association also thanked BM Soat’s management and staff for supporting Masters Cricket and Guyana’s hosting of the World Cup.
The tournament provides an international platform for cricketers aged 40 and over to represent their teams. It will also give local fans an opportunity to watch experienced players and support the West Indies throughout the competition.
Founded in 1986, BM Soat Auto Sales offers a range of vehicle brands and models through showrooms in Georgetown, Success and Happy Acres. Its involvement adds an established Guyanese automotive business to the tournament’s group of sponsors.
The World Cup is being promoted under the theme “Reignite the Fire. Relive the Passion”. Fixtures and tournament updates are available at worldcup.windiesmasters.org
