Boat captain feared dead after falling into Pomeroon River

A boat caption of Moruca, Region One (Barima-Waini) is feared dead after he fell overboard, into the Pomeroon River, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) on December 13.
Reports are that Linden Williams accidently fell into the river and despite efforts to locate him, the worse is being feared.
While details of the incident are sketchy, Guyana Times was told that the missing man is the captain of a cargo boat. According to persons in the area, the cargo boat usually travels from Moruca to Charity to transport goods for Williams’ employer.
Commander of G Division, Khali Pareshram, when contacted told this publication that the man’s body has not been recovered. He said that an investigation has been launched.
