Body of Cummings Lodge man found at Oleander Road

The Police are investigating the circumstances behind the body of 20-year-old Hemchand Dalchand, called “Rakesh”, of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, being discovered on the Oleander Gardens Public Road, East Coast Demerara, on Saturday at about 18:00hrs.
Reportedly found lying in a pool of blood, this body bore several wounds, and was said to be without a jersey and footwear which he had been wearing when he left his home.
Dalchand had last been seen alive on Saturday, when he left his home in the company of some female friends to attend an entertainment show at the Ogle Community Centre.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow to determine the cause of his death, as investigators probe the discovery.
