A bodybuilder was on Wednesday taken before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to the charge of possession of narcotics.
Keshan Simon denied that on April 15, 2019, at Lot 247 Oronoque and Forshaw Streets, Georgetown, he had in his possession eight ecstasy pills.
The prosecution is contending that on Monday, Police ranks acting on information received went to Simon’s house and conducted a search.
During the search, the ecstasy pills were discovered in the toilet area of the home. The prosecution is contending that the man also flushed some of the pills down the toilet. According to the prosecution, the 29-year-old admitted to the ranks that the pills belonged to him.
The police prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds of the nature of the offence. He was, however, released on $50,000 bail. The case will continue on May 8, 2019.
