A medical team from Mabaruma Regional Hospital, Region One (Barima-Waini), was deployed to Matthew’s Ridge this morning after reports that nine persons were exhibiting symptoms attributed to Swine Flu.
Guyana Times understands that one man has since died. This newspaper was told that eight other persons are being air dashed to the city for further medical attention.
This publication was told that Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) has quarantine an area, for the transferred patients.
