The British Chamber of Commerce Guyana (BritCham Guyana) will host its annual Gala Dinner in Guyana for the first time on November 25, as part of a week of activities focused on strengthening commercial ties between Guyana and the United Kingdom.
The Gala Dinner will be held at the new Four Points by Sheraton in Georgetown and will bring together BritCham members, business leaders, investors, Government and diplomatic representatives, partners, suppliers, customers, members of the Guyanese diaspora, and guests from Guyana and the UK.
The event will be the centrepiece of BritCham Guyana Week, which will feature business, networking and engagement activities aimed at strengthening relationships between the two countries and highlighting commercial opportunities in Guyana.
The Chamber said the event is particularly significant as Guyana marks its 60th anniversary of independence in 2026.
In previous years, BritCham Guyana held its annual events at prominent British sporting venues, including Lord’s Cricket Ground in London in 2024 and Chelsea Football Club in 2025.
As part of this year’s programme, BritCham partner The Caribbean Council will organise a UK trade delegation to Guyana. The delegation is expected to include British companies interested in exploring the Guyanese market, establishing business relationships and identifying opportunities for investment, trade and partnerships.
