“Bunny Fun Day”

A group of young people with an interest in art and craft will be hosting an event called “Bunny Fun Day” that will give children an opportunity to explore their creative and artistic abilities. The event is set for Sunday at the Promenade Gardens, commencing at 13:00h.
The idea is to give children between the ages of five and 16 an avenue to use their imagination to create useful items from a quantity of materials that will be provided at the venue. This is the third year for the event and it has definitely grown from the first year.
Children will be required to pay a fee of $1500 and upon doing do, they will be given a basket of materials which they will use to create hats, baskets, bracelets and other personal items.
The participants will have a few hours to make use of the materials since the competition ends at 17:00h. After that, the judges will be looking keenly at the pieces that were created and decide on the winners.
The winners will be awarded prize such as trophies, hampers, electronic gadgets, stationary and art supplies. Meanwhile, the competition will be open to children in various age groups.
The five to eight age group will be required to upcycle either a toilet paper roll or a small plastic bottle using materials of their choice, while the children in the nine to 12 age group will be required to upcycle a small box or a one litre plastic bottle using materials.
Finally, in the 13-16 age group, children will be required to upcycle either a large box or a two litre plastic bottle. Apart from the demonstrations and competition, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt.
There will also be well stocked food and drink bars as well as various creative items on sale.
