The brother of well-known businessman Stanley Ming was on Thursday afternoon killed in an accident that involved an ambulance along the JB Singh Road and Thomas Lands, Georgetown.

Samuel Collin Ming, 67, owner of Ming’s Products and Services of Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar, died while receiving treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
It was reported that the accident occurred at about 14:15h on Thursday and involved an ambulance attached to the Health Ministry bearing registration number PVV 7693, and motorcycle CE 614 ridden by Ming.
The ambulance driver reportedly told Police that he was proceeding north along Irving Street at about 45kmph with siren wailing and honking his horn but as he was crossing the intersection of JB Singh and Thomas Road, the motorcycle collided with the rear right side of the ambulance.
As a result of the collision, Ming fell onto the roadway and sustained injuries about his body. He was picked up in a conscious state by EMT and taken to the hospital where he was admitted a patient.
A breathalyser test was later conducted on the driver of the ambulance but no trace of alcohol was found in his system.
Meanwhile, Police confirmed that Ming took his last breath at about 13:45h on Friday. His body is presently at the GPHC mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
Meanwhile, on Saturday Guyana Times visited the dead man’s family, but they were still in shock and did not offer a comment. The Police are still investigating the fatal accident.
