Businessman found dead in Lethem suffered heart attack – PME

A post-mortem performed on the body of Eon Caddock, owner of Bush Master Tourism Company in Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo), who was found on the roadway in the vicinity of Culvert City, Lethem, revealed that he died as a result of cardiac arrest.
The autopsy was performed by Dr Nehaul Singh on Wednesday, after which the body was handed over to Caddock’s family for burial.
According to reports, ranks in Lethem received a telephone call from an anonymous caller, informing them that a body was seen lying on the roadway.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene, the man was lying face down, clad in a grey and brown jersey along with a pair of red trousers and multi-coloured running shoes.
Upon examining Caddock, investigators found a scratch on the left cheek. The man was taken to the Lethem Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Caddock, a British national, had been living in Guyana for the past 25 years. According to residents of the community, the now dead man would normally jog in the said vicinity on a daily basis. (G9)
