Caribbean Airlines has announced that it will discontinue flights on the Ogle, Guyana, to Suriname route from June 1, 2026, as part of changes to its regional network.
The airline said the move also affects services to Dominica and St Kitts, while flights to Martinique and Guadeloupe will be reduced to twice weekly.
In a statement issued on Friday from Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, Caribbean Airlines said passengers holding bookings on the affected routes beyond the discontinuation dates will be contacted directly by the airline or through their travel agents.
According to the airline, affected customers will be offered re-accommodation on alternative regional services where possible, including revised itineraries through Caribbean Airlines and partner connections. Passengers may also opt for a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket or retain the ticket value as future travel credit, subject to fare conditions.
The airline said it is currently working to finalise a codeshare agreement with a regional airline partner. According to Caribbean Airlines, the proposed arrangement is intended to provide customers with access to a wider network through coordinated schedules, integrated ticketing and seamless connections.
Caribbean Airlines added that it will undertake the required operational and regulatory processes to ensure a smooth transition for affected passengers.
The carrier said the network adjustments are part of efforts to maintain “strong regional connectivity through a sustainable and commercially responsible network” while focusing on operational reliability, customer service and long-term financial stability.
