Caribbean Airlines to restart Guyana-Miami route Wednesday

Caribbean Airlines is scheduled to restart commercial flights between the Miami International Airport and Georgetown, Guyana.
The flights will be done weekly to facilitate connections and will operate every Wednesday. The flight next Wednesday – Flight BW 486 – will leave Guyana for Miami at 10:15h while flight BW 487 leaves Miami for Guyana at 17:00h.
Caribbean Airlines’s CEO, Garvin Madera, commenting on the return of the service said that the resumption of the non-stop service between Miami and Guyana is an exciting start to its summer operations. “The flight times were done with our customers’ needs in mind. Now, persons traveling from Miami and beyond can easily fly non-stop to Guyana. Miami has long been a popular destination for our valued Guyanese and Caribbean-based customers. We assure all passengers that internationally verified safety protocols are in place for a comfortable travel experience.”
As an incentive, all customers who book flights from now to July 14 will enjoy double miles.
Most recently, the airline was awarded the Platinum Certification by APEX Health Safety. This means that Caribbean Airlines has met and surpassed global benchmarks for COVID-19 protocols.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, airlines around the world were hard-hit as air travel was prohibited by many countries which closed their airports.
