Case of the…
…sneaky LOO
They say, “When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn’t become a king. The palace becomes a circus”!! We’re seeing the truth of this bit of folk wisdom playing out right here with Sanction Man, who was surprisingly – evidently even to himself! – catapulted into the Leader of the Opposition (LOO) office!! Now in our short history as an independent nation, we’ve had men like Burnham, Jagan, Hoyte and Corbin occupy that office – can you Dear Readers conceive of any one of them getting into the rigmarole Sanction Man concocted??!!
The critical question he’s gotta answer is what in the world was he doing driving past the home of the chief witness in his extradition case – at minutes before midnight?? His first answer was he’d gotten wind that the witness – Guyana’s spy chief!! – was being provided with too much security and the country’s assets were being frittered away!! Now REALLY??
Hadn’t the said spy chief declared in court – in front of Magistrate Judy – that he feared for his life and the safety of his family after a Facebook post by Sanction Man’s sister triggered threatening comments against him?? Hadn’t the Magistrate cautioned the sister – who’d declared herself Director of Political Affairs for Sanction Man’s WIN party – and she clammed up??
Now we’re being told that Sanction Man wasn’t just investigating “wasteful spending” by the State – but had received calls about a school gate at Rama Krishna Primary School on Middleton Street, Kitty, that had fallen on two kids, which prompted him to check the area and record video footage – before the shooting incidents occurred when he rolled past the spy chief’s home for a second time!! So, he was looking at a fallen school gate at midnight?? To determine whether the school was negligent?? Your Eyewitness is scratching his head that there are folks who aren’t questioning this Jimmy Cock, Ram Goat story!!
On the other side, Police say simply that a heavily tinted car carrying Sanction Man and two henchmen passed the spy chief’s residence twice – and have video evidence to show this, which in any case ain’t disputed by Sanction Man!! The spy chief said he heard a gunshot and fired towards the vehicle from which he heard the bullet come!! The Police subsequently reported recovering a .32 pistol and ammunition from the car and a spent .32 casing near the residence.
Now after Sanction Man’s blatantly concocted, contradictory Cock and Bull story about why he was in the area, how can his claim that he’s being “framed” and it was all an assassination plot be taken seriously??
The Spy Chief lured him with the broken gate story, KNOWING he’d show up at midnight??

Now that BK’s mobilising resources to raise the Barima, what can we expect – apart from Wailing Jeremiahs?? The first challenge’s gonna be the working environment!! The wreck lies in approximately 13–15 metres of water off Devonshire Castle Flats – where strong currents, tides, and poor visibility complicate underwater operations!! These conditions demand careful surveys, suitable equipment, and working periods selected around safe weather and tidal conditions. A timetable has gotta accommodate the sea, rather than political impatience!!
The next challenge is establishing whether the hull can withstand being raised. Engineers must assess its condition, position, and any burial in sediment before deciding where and how to support it. An uneven lift could tear the structure apart. The lifting method should therefore undergo independent technical review, with clear limits for stopping if the wreck begins to fail!!
Preserving evidence is equally important. Commissioner Dr Andrzej Jasionowski has already warned that rushing could break the vessel and compromise its recovery.
BK should issue regular updates on their progress.

Well, the latest straw poll of how the Security Council’s voting suggests that it’s pretty much over for Carolyn’s chances of becoming the UN’s next Secretary General. Your Eyewitness is proud of her campaign – especially in refusing to grovel!!!
