Cattle farmer on $15,000 bail assault

A cattle farmer with a bad temper was placed before the courts to answer to a charge of assaulting a woman.
Robin Haywood, of 1263 South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Brendon Glasford at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
He denied the allegation and pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
The charge stated that on December 31, 2016, at South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously assaulted Shevon Griffith with intent to cause her actual bodily harm.
The 33-year-old father of nine children was unrepresented; however, he was granted his pre-trial liberty as the prosecution’s file was yet to be completed.
Haywood was granted bail in the sum of ,000 and will make his next court appearance on January 12, 2017.
