Cellphones, razor blades unearthed in NA Prison raid

A total of 15 cellphones and a large quantity of razor blades were unearthed on Thursday morning during a raid conducted at the New Amsterdam Prisons. The raid was facilitated by members of the Joint Services, and was done in the quarters of the male and female prisons.

The items that were discovered at the New Amsterdam Prison

Apart from the cellphones and blades, 12 lighters, 11 pieces of broken mirror, nine improvised weapons, one cellular phone battery, 10 cellular phone chargers, two pairs of scissors, four metal spoons and $580 in cash were also unearthed during the search, which lasted for two hours.
Back in March, a number of contraband items were discovered, including seven improvised weapons, a quantity of razor blades and two grams of cannabis.
Additionally, ranks had discovered one cellular phone, twenty lighters, pepper sauce, and two cell phone chargers.
