Chainsaw operator collapses, dies at worksite

A chainsaw operation was pronounced dead on arrival at the Suddie Public Hospital on Wednesday evening after collapsing at his worksite at Aurora Grand Backdam, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
The dead man has been identified as 52-year-old Ronaldo Morris Williams of Lake Mainstay, Essequibo Coast.
Based on information gathered, the now dead man was in the company of other workers when he started to complain of chest pains and requested some water to drink.
Soon after drinking the water he began coughing, and subsequently collapsed to the ground and began drooling before losing consciousness.
He was picked up and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 23:40h. His body is at the hospital mortuary awaiting a post mortem.
