Chinelle Henry had a great all-round game

The West Indies Women continued their impressive run in the 2026 Ireland Women’s Tri-Nation Series with a hard-fought 25-run victory over Pakistan Women at Clontarf Cricket Club on Friday.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, the Caribbean side produced an explosive batting display to post a formidable 199 for six from their 20 overs. Contributions came throughout the top order, with Jannillea Glasgow leading the way with 42 from 25 deliveries. Captain Hayley Matthews added a brisk 40 from 20 balls, while veteran Stafanie Taylor chipped in with 39 from 23, as West Indies maintained a relentless scoring rate.
Pakistan’s bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, although Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu claimed two wickets each. Diana Baig also made a breakthrough, but the West Indies batters consistently found boundaries to push the total close to the 200-run mark.

West Indies registers back-to-back wins

Facing a challenging target, Pakistan Women responded with determination but ultimately finished on 174 for eight from their allotted 20 overs. Aliya Riaz anchored the chase with a fighting 37 from 28 balls, while Saira Jabeen contributed 30 from 19, and Fatima Sana provided late resistance with a quick-fire 27 from 14 deliveries.
West Indies’ bowlers held their nerve during the chase, with Chinelle Henry delivering a match-winning all-round performance. The pace-bowling all-rounder followed up her unbeaten 33 from just 17 balls with outstanding figures of two for 13 from two overs to earn the Player of the Match award. Jahzara Claxton and Shawnisha Hector also chipped in with important wickets to keep Pakistan from mounting a serious challenge.
The victory gives West Indies Women back-to-back wins in the tournament and strengthens their position near the top of the standings. After beginning the competition with a convincing triumph over Ireland, the Caribbean side has now showcased both batting firepower and bowling discipline in successive matches.
