Chutney Explosion for Leonora Track on Saturday

All roads will lead to the Leonora Synthetic Track, West Coast Demerara on Saturday evening for Chutney Explosion, Curry Fest and Vehicle Sound-off.
The event is being held in observance of Guyana’s 50th Republic Anniversary Celebrations and will be one with a bang.
Already, several well-known vehicles are registered to be a part of the Vehicle Sound-off, as well as some of the best curry lovers, who will compete for millions in prizes. However, apart from the competitions, there will be live performances by the semi-finalists of the Chutney Monarch. These include reigning monarch Steven Ramphal; Vicadi Singh, Pooran Seeraj and Bunty Singh among others.
However, the main attraction will be the live performance by former international chutney monarch, Kris Persad, also called KI. He is expected to perform his latest single, “Stop What You Doing and Curl” for the first time out of his home country. All the performers will be backed by the Shakti String Orchestra.
Everyone will be admitted free before 19:00h after which patrons will pay $1000. Gates open at 15:00h.
