Construction worker remanded on robbery charge

Twenty-one-year-old construction worker Dashawn Green has been remanded to prison on an armed robbery charge.
He was arrested on Saturday last and charged on Tuesday with the offence of robbery under arms, contrary to section 222 (c) of the Criminal Law Offences Act, Chapter 8:01. It is alleged that on August 1, the Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD) resident robbed Kimberly Bourne, a 30-year-old mixologist of Non-Pareil, ECD.

He appeared at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Fabayo Azore. The charge was read, and he entered a not guilty plea and was remanded to prison. The case has been adjourned to December 5. (G9)
