Cop’s home burglarised

…cash, other items stolen

The home of a 25-year-old Policeman was on Sunday burglarised, and among the several items stolen are numerous Police regulation buttons and a name tag.
The Police have said that the incident occurred at some time between 3:30h and 20:30h on Sunday at Recht-Door-Zee, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
The burglars carted off one 2000-watt Pyramid amplifier, one Sony DVD player, two Timberland boots, a quantity of clothing and foodstuff, and $50,000 in cash.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim had secured his premises by means provided on Sunday at about 3:30h, and had gone to work. However, upon his return at about 20:30h, he observed that his home had been ransacked, and upon checking, he discovered that the abovementioned items were missing. Further checks revealed that four louvre panes had been removed from a window.
A report was made to the Police, and an investigation has been launched.
