Corentyne labourer stabbed during row over money

A labourer of Manchester Village, Corentyne, Berbice, is nursing injuries about his body after he was allegedly attacked and stabbed on Saturday evening. Steve Albert, 45, was stabbed at his home by the suspect, who turned up at his house.
The victim’s wife reportedly told Police that the suspect turned up at their home and enquired about her husband.
As the man came out to meet the visitor, an argument broke out over money. As the argument escalated, the suspect whipped out a knife and stabbed Albert several times to his head and right-side chest.
Albert was picked up and taken to the Port Mourant Public Hospital where he was treated and transferred to New Amsterdam Public Hospital. He remains a patient at the said medical facility.
However, after committing the act, the suspect has since gone into hiding. The Police are making every effort to apprehend him.
