Crawford Memorial Horse Racing Meet on September 23

The Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facility at Alness Village on the Corentyne Coast in East Berbice is scheduled to host a horse race meet on September 23; and currently, more than 40 entries have already been received for the card, which consists of six categories.
There is the H & Lower race, which carries the most attract top prize of $300,000; the L2 & Lower race, which fetches a first place prize of $70,000; L1 & Lower race, with a prize of $100,000 for the winner; the J & Lower race, the victor of which would cart off $160,000; the L3 race, with a first prize of 50,000; and the Two-Year Maiden, which has a first place prize of $100,000. The entrants billed to compete include Chammaley, Not This Time, Party Time Orion, Kentucky Woman, Mary-Ann, Lucky Star, Gypsie Princess, Slim Shady and Baba Rosa; but there are many other horses billed to compete, and among them might be many of the proverbial dark horses.
Entries will close on September 16, 2018.
