CSV to provide assistance to volleyball in Guyana

The President of the South American Confederation of volleyball (CSV), Rafael Lloreda, has embarked on a developmental assistance program for member countries.

The Coach responsible for executing this program, Marcos Miranda paid a short planned visit to Guyana from Tuesday June 28 to Thursday June 30. His visit was done to hold consultations with representatives of the Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) and its volleyball associations and provide developmental assistance.

Miranda held discussions with the GVF, the Essequibo Volleyball Association (EVA) and the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) and plans were put forward as to the best ways to utilize his expertise.

Coach Miranda has coached beach and indoor volleyball at the Olympic level and is a highly sought after expert.

He is scheduled to return to Guyana in mid September of this year to conduct training for coaches in Berbice, Demerara, and Essequibo.
