Cummings Lodge win tape-ball competition

Cummings Lodge Secondary School won the Dexter Cush/Johil Store School Boys Tape-ball Knockout Competition, which was played on Saturday on the D’Urban Park Tarmac where seven schools competed.
In the final, Cummings Lodge defeated North Georgetown Secondary, who batted first and scored 70-3 in their six overs. Nkosi Beaton topscored with 34.
When the eventual victors replied, they reached 74 without loss as Keshire Seepersaud (40) and Deoram Narine (16) weathered the storm. Beaton and Seepersaud took the honours for best players in the competition and were awarded.
Other teams taking part in the competition were RBI, Sophia Special School, IAE Guyana Education Trust College and St John’s College.
The next competition is scheduled for June 16.
