The Crab Wood Creek (CWC) Shri Krishna Mandir will host its Annual Phagwah Mela on Wednesday, March 20 opposite the Mandir. The event will feature live performances by Ameet; popular dholak player Versuhka and Lady T out of Suriname and several local artistes.
The local line-up includes Mona Singh, Nitesh Sahadeo, Prince Arijit Singh, Richard Chattergoon, Omesh Sahdeo, Chris Ramphal, and Artie Sookhai. The emcee for the event will be Pandit Dave. Apart from the singing line-up, there will be several guest performances including from Malcolm the Dancer, CWC Shri Krishna Mandir Dancers, Team Extreme Dancers and members of the Faristey Dance Group. Dave Tassa Group will also be in action.
There will also be lots to eat and drink, including sweet meats and seven curry. Music will be provided by Crystal Clear Band while sound and lighting will be provided by Crown Vibez.
Admission to the Phagwah Mela costs $200. Showtime is 18:30h.
